Key to completing so many actions
For the past two weeks I have successfully completed more actions than I have ever attempted before. While looking over my list this week, I started to think if there was any particular reason I was having success. The first, and most obvious reason I could think of was the fact that I am not working right now so have more time to spend on my weekly actions. However, after reviewing the past two weeks it became clear that I have not had a ton more free time. Almost all of the time I was spending at work, I have now been spending doing fabulous summer activities with my wife and son. So, time may play a small role, but there is something else at work here.
Enjoyment
Then it dawned on me while I was writing my actions into this post: the reason I am having so much success with these actions is that I enjoy doing almost all of them and almost all of these actions are moving me forward in creating my new career. Because I enjoy these actions they don’t take as much energy to complete, and, in some cases, completing some of these actions gives me even more energy as I get even more excited about what I am working on. I now think it may be possible to maintain such a high number of actions each week as long as I focus on actions that I enjoy doing.
Have you been completing actions you enjoy lately? Or have you been focusing on actions that are important to someone else, or are part of a goal that you find necessary but do not enjoy? Let me know in the comments below.
